Product Profile of Exothermic Compounds

Indian core oil, since 1967, manufactures various types of foundry chemical. Being a part of that exothermic compounds are of different types, which are as follows: -

  • Satothermic apc - this exothermic compounds is an exothermic anti-piping compound with excellent heat output and insulation. It is the slow burning apc and well suited for iron & steel casting of medium & large size.
  • Satothermic - m - this compound is highly exothermic moldable and comes in powder form. It can be molded into any shape. A green strength of 0.5 kgs/cm2 obtained after mixing With 5% water. Mold shape of this exothermic compound can be baked in oven at 150 c for one hour per inch thickness.
  • Satothermic - ms: it is a moldable exothermic compound where sodium silicate is used as a binder & co2 gas is passed to make sleeves of desired shape & size. No baking is required.

  • Satothermic - s: this is a readymade exothermic sleeves in different size and shape. It is used for ferrous and non-ferrous risers. There is considerable increase in yield.
  • Satothermic - ht :it is highly exothermic metal producing compound. It is recommended for use in risers of steel castings.
